About Me
Being an avid gardener myself, I am very aware of the challenges we face gardening in the Chinook Zone. However, I truly believe that it is possible to create fabulous gardens if we work with our site. Our properties are as individual as we are and so our landscapes should meet the needs and conditions of the site as well as the owners.
My training started with the Master Gardener course in 1997. This has been supplemented with the Ornamental Plants Specialist Certificate and further courses in landscape design. Designing spaces since 2000, many of my designs have won awards in the annual Calgary Horticultural Society’s garden contest. I enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of gardening through speaking, teaching and writing.
One of my goals is to educate gardeners about the benefits of creating water- wise gardens that are not only environmentally sustainable but incredibly beautiful and functional as well.
